Medicare Help You Can Actually Trust — From an Independent Broker Who Works for You

Local, independent Medicare guidance in Madison and Fitchburg, WI — with no carrier loyalty, no consultation fee, and a plan review every year to make sure your coverage still fits.

Since 2017, I've helped people across Wisconsin — and in five other states — sort through Medicare without the confusion, the pressure, or the fine print surprises. I'm Ryan, an independent broker licensed in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Texas, Arizona, and Washington. That means I compare plans across 13–14 carriers and recommend the one that fits your needs, not the one that pays me the most.

If you're turning 65, switching plans, or just not sure what you have, I'm here to walk you through it — in plain English, at no charge.

Medicare Coverage Options — Find the Plan That Fits Your Life

Medicare isn't one-size-fits-all, and the right plan depends on your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget. Here's where most people start.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

All-in-one plans that often include dental, vision, and drug coverage — typically with lower premiums than a Supplement plan.

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

Wisconsin structures Medigap differently than most states — a base plan plus optional riders. I'll help you understand exactly what you're buying.

Part D Prescription Drug Plans

The wrong drug plan can cost you hundreds more per year. I compare formularies and pharmacy networks so you're not overpaying for your medications.

Individual Health & ACA Coverage

For clients under 65 or those who need coverage outside of Medicare, I work with ACA Marketplace plans and individual health options.

More Ways I Can Help

Medicare is the core of what I do, but coverage gaps don't stop there. I also help clients fill in what Medicare doesn't cover.

Guide

New to Medicare? I've built a step-by-step guide to help you understand your timeline, your choices, and what to do first.

Dental, Vision & Hearing

Original Medicare covers very little here. Standalone dental, vision, and hearing plans can close that gap without changing your Medicare coverage.

Cancer & Hospital Indemnity

Supplemental coverage that pays cash benefits directly to you if you're hospitalized or diagnosed with a serious illness — a layer of protection many clients don't know exists.

Insurance

Whether you're looking for final expense coverage or a simple term policy, I can help you find something that fits your situation.

Carriers I Work With

I'm not tied to any single insurance company. I hold contracts with more than a dozen carriers — including Anthem, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Devoted Health, Dean Health Plan (Medica), Physicians Mutual, and others — so I can compare real options and recommend the plan that's right for you, not the one that's easiest to sell.

Common Questions Before We Talk

  • Is it really free to work with you?

Yes — and it's not just a courtesy, it's the law. As a licensed broker, I'm prohibited from charging you a consultation fee. I'm compensated by the carrier when you enroll, but that compensation is built into the premium regardless of how you enroll. You pay the same amount whether you come to me or go directly to the insurance company. The difference is that with me, you get someone comparing your options across multiple carriers instead of one.

  • Do you only serve clients in Wisconsin?

No. My core service area is Madison and Dane County, but I'm licensed in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Texas, Arizona, and Washington — and I'm adding states. If you're a current client who's relocating, you don't have to find a new agent. I can continue working with you in any state where I hold a license.

  • What if I already have Medicare — can you still help me?

Absolutely — this is one of the most common reasons people reach out. Plan needs change as health and budgets change, and many people are in plans that no longer serve them well. I offer annual plan reviews as a standing part of working with me, not as an add-on. If your plan isn't the right fit anymore, I'll tell you — and I'll show you what the alternatives look like.

  • I'm turning 65 soon. When should I contact you?

The earlier the better, but three to six months before your 65th birthday is a good target. Medicare has specific enrollment windows, and missing them can result in late-enrollment penalties that follow you for years. Getting ahead of it gives us time to compare options without any deadline pressure.

  • How do I know I can trust the plan you recommend?

Because I don't work for the insurance company — I work for you. As an independent Medicare broker in Madison, I'm required to recommend what fits your situation, and I have no financial incentive to steer you toward any particular carrier. I also review your plan every year, so if something better comes along or your needs change, we adjust.

Ready to Stop Guessing and Start Covered?

Medicare doesn't have to be overwhelming. One conversation is usually enough to go from confused to clear — and it costs you nothing to find out where you stand.
